How does Alltrue work?

Each Alltrue box contains 6-8 products.  There are different levels of customization available to their Annual and Seasonal subscribers.

From Alltrue:

Valued at up to $350 for only $70, the Summer Box is fully customizable — Annual members get to customize all six tiers, and Seasonal members get to customize tier two and four.

As a reviewer, I was able to customize all tiers of this box. I focused on accessories and housewares, since I have plenty of beauty products, plus I have sensitive skin/allergies which adds a level of risk to new products.

The box came with a nice booklet showcasing all the box choices. It explains a bit more about each item and also shows the other items available in each category. It also includes some cute summer hacks.

What's Inside The Alltrue Box?

The box I received was not branded. I presume this was due to a few of my items being on the larger side. The Spring 2024 Box was spacious, but I think that this quarter's items would not have fit in it.

As with the prior box, the items were displayed nicely and packed securely with minimal packing material needed. I'm astonished what crumpled up paper can do. Everything was securely in place and hadn’t shifted at all during transit.

This season's box had 6 categories.

Category 6

Package Free Reusable Cotton Rounds - Retail Value $14

These cotton rounds are super practical for those who use a cotton round (or two) every single night. While I don't wear a full face of makeup on a daily basis, I always have on at least mascara. I was impressed by the generous quantity included - 10 rounds will get me through a week so I can toss them in with my towels.

They are quite thick, but at the same time, stack and compress well for storage. They don't just flop all over the place. I love the finger pocket in the back, it's a lovely and useful detail.

Category 5

Stasher Reusable Sandwich Bag - Retail Value $12

I've been wanting to try these for a while, but could never commit to getting a set. It was great to be able to test out a single one. The bag is nice and thick, with a closure that was both easy to seal and secure. I used it right away to store grapes, which I later brought with as a snack for the pool.  I feel like they stayed fresher longer than the grapes in the grocery store bag.

However, per the name, this size and shape would have been better suited for a sandwich - it's the perfect size for easy loading and retrieval, and it's easy to clean and can stand open to dry. My plan is to use it for my younger son’s daily sandwich for school lunch in the fall.

Category 4

Little Sky Stone Azure Layered Necklace Set - Retail Value $59

As I wrote last quarter, I'm trying to up my jewelry game. I really don't have much but find going to look for jewelry a bit overwhelming. Therefore, I figured that this would be a safe choice. It's a double strand necklace - the inner strand is gold with turquoise tone stones; the outer strand, which is slightly longer, is all gold.

Pretty and versatile, this necklace is easy to clasp and the double strand falls smoothly just below the collar bone. It think this would be nice either with a crew neck t-shirt or deeper neckline as well.

Category 3

W&P Hydropod Indoor Planter - Retail Value $25

I have a black thumb. I've tried to grow herbs but have had little success with traditional plants. I have been able to make hydroponic gardens work, but the one I currently have is good for small quantities of multiple herbs. I am really excited to try this - I want to dedicate it to just basil, my most used herb - but need to wait until I return from a two week vacation.

This hydropod was was cleverly and securely packaged. It looked like it was be pastic, but I was surprised to discover it was a hefty frosted glass. Both fun and practical, this is something I wouldn’t have gone out to buy it for myself, but it is a perfect addition to this box.

Category 2

Alltrue X Antra Švarcs Make Lemonade Pitcher - Retail Value $70

This pitcher is probably why the shipping box was bigger than the normal Alltrue box. When I filled it to measure volume, it could hold a full 4 cups (quart) when filled to just under the start of the spout (meaning no risk of spilling).

It's the perfect size for a mixed summer cocktail. And let's talk about the gorgeous lemon print - I’m a sucker for anything lemon, and this pattern feels both classic and modern.

This would also make an adorable casual vase. It was perfect for holding a few stems of hydrangea when the rest of the arrangement was past its prime.

Category 1

Wander+ Travel Neck Pillow - Retail Value $80

I’ve never been a huge travel pillow fan. For me it's usually not worth the tradeoff of space for a fight less than 12 hours. But I’m willing to give this one a try. It fits compactly in the provided bag, and most importantly was easy to quickly put back in the bag without help from anyone else. Wrapping and securing was easy, and I really liked the reusable peel-off cover for the velcro, which eliminates accidental sticking and damaging of the fabric.

Overall the compressible foam allows for this pillow to have smaller footprint than any other I have tried, while still being supportive. Since I don't have any long distance travel in the near future, I will send this with my husband on his next work trip.

Value - Was This Box Worth It?

The Cost: $79.95 per quarter + free shipping within the contiguous USA ($7.95 shipping Canada, Hawaii, Alaska, and US Territories), or $69.95 per box when you sign up for an annual subscription.

The Alltrue Summer 2024 Box contains 6 items. This subscription states a value up to $250+ in value per box, and for this season up to $350.  My items added up to a total of $260, which is over 3 times the cost of the box!

I am really enjoying all the pieces I chose. Once again, while there are a few items that I wouldn't have thought to buy for myself, I'm happy to have chosen them. All of the items are high quality and socially conscious, so that's a win for me.
