What was the point of this poor rebrand exactly?
The products don’t say “cause” to me at all, I don’t care about the name change, I’m still looking for this box to deliver that type of a message.
And I keep reading the name as Allure, every single time.

This all just seems really weird and odd. I feel kind of bad because obviously this was someone’s idea and I have to believe a lot of work went into this whole Alltrue rebranding thing but I’m all about simplicity and receiving quality products. They could have put their energy into fixing Causebox to be better, but this almost seems a round about way to distance themselves from their past (current?) issues.

This seriously leaves me scratching my head. Did they ask any subscribers beforehand about this new direction? Seems like a lot of legwork/homework wasn’t done before this huge, new direction was taken.

Amy

They really leaned into the millennial mommy who sells essential oils vibe. Like the brand name and packaging just seem like a ~healthy lifestyle~ MLM scheme. And definitely not the best place to start spoilers. Hopefully it gets better but I’m still not sure I could look my mailman in the eye after getting a box branded “Alltrue”.

Death throes.

Carrie

I was just gonna say the same.

“Biodegradable” bowls are not going to biodegrade in a landfill. I will stick with glass or metal. I had a whole lot of negative thoughts about the other items too, but I’m actually starting to come around and be more excited.

SquirrelyGirl

Cutlery set, nesting bowls and Bakuchiol serum are my choices for the first 3 categories.

Erm…rather boring spoilers.

More than that though, ??? The first hit for Ettika on Google was the wholesale place you can buy it from, HelloAbound.

And the “story” Ettika has doesn’t make it seem like much if a ’cause’ at all. I guess that’s why they needed the rebrand.

“The Ettika brand is founded on the fundamental element of quality, authenticity, and design. In an industry dominated by disposable, fast fashion, Ettika offers jewelry made from the finest materials at competitive price points.

We create affordable accessories and uncomplicate trends so that you can focus on your best, vibrant, and confident self.

Designed in Los Angeles, Always 18k Gold Plated, Always Nickel Free, Always on trend.

Ettika family fashioners, Ettie Rafaeli, Natalie Rafaeli, and Joey Rafaeli are constantly energized and inspired by their studio surroundings in Los Angeles, CA. From the sandy beaches of Malibu, to the neon bright sparkling city lights of Tinseltown, the designers naturally incorporate a kiss of the LA laid-back luxe lifestyle into each piece.

Today, Ettika is a global brand with a wide range of accessory categories including jewelry, bags, belts, hair accessories, and more.”

I believe they changed the name to avoid such pesky questions about causes.

Click on the “Shop for Good” link at the bottom of the page near where you found the info. It explains the charity donations.

Reply ButtonReply

Jennifer

But we can all donate to charity ourselves – we don’t need to buy a product simpy because they will donate to charity and get a tax write off for it. I mean, it’s cool if they do, but many business owners will donate to various charities even without reporting it for marketing on their web page. So, “they will donate X amount to this cause” isn’t quite the same thing as the item itself being part of a cause.

Whereas a “cause” item tends to be ones that are fair trade/ethically sourced, sustainable, or helping a small business that otherwise wouldhave a hard time selling (like connecting with small artisans in other countries, or helping the disabled gain wages through a doable craft item, etc.)

Good lord, tried to get through that YouTube video of spoilers and maybe I’m just cranky but that girl babbled on and on without a breath for what seemed like forever with me yelling “just get to the products already”……sorry, but the fake, “This is all the most amazing things I’ve ever seen” routine just drives me crazy….guess I’ll never be a sub box endorser 🤣😂

There is a YT video showing the first 3 choice categories if anyone is interested. IMO cat 1 is the worst of the 3.

Reply ButtonReply

Jennifer

Thanks for the heads up. I agree, Cat 1 is the weakest – any of the other items I would use in 2/3. Cat 2 has three strong options, pretty much saves the box for me – I’m leaning towards the last since I already own similar items to the first two.

I’m stuck as an annual for two? more boxes, so I’m glad there will be at least a couple things in it I’ll like.

Reply ButtonReply

Jenn

I agree – choice set #1 is the weakest. The others are just ok for me. I’ve had an annual sub and I can’t tell if spring was my last box or if summer will be. I don’t think I’ll renew, or I might go ahead and skip this box and have my last one be the fall. Summer boxes usually aren’t my favorite. Thanks for the tip on the YT video!

Teisha

Just canceled my annual two days ago. No regrets if this is any indication of what’s to come.

Molly Honey

Wow. I am blown away… at how fast they blew their relaunch. Terrible bracelet. Same old crap. That nobody wants. Just wow. And still no Seasonal Customization. And did they even fix the HUGE shipping problem? Is that still going to linger on and on? Or might this box actually get to subscribers on time, now?

Reply ButtonReply

Joi

Well seeing as how I have already received my FFF Summer 2021 box, started making my selections for my Alltrue (such a stupid name) Summer 2021 box, but still have not received my Spring 2021 Causebox, I’m thinking the shipping isn’t changing much.

I am now actually curious if I will get my summer box before my spring one.

Jess

THIS is the first box of the new branding? Bless their hearts.

Reply ButtonReply

Jessica

Yeah was expecting them to really start with a bang for the rebrand, this is more of “meh”… seen it all before type items.

Carrie

This is my favorite Southern phrase

I cancelled my annual sub. I’m not liking the transition / new vibe from the company. I have two boxes left. If I had known they were taking this direction I wouldn’t have renewed for a whole year.

Reply ButtonReply

Alice

I truly regret wasting money on annual lifestyle box subscriptions.

Reply ButtonReply

Shannon

Meh.

Reply ButtonReply

Tamara

Lame choices. An almost invisible bracelet or a cutlery set that looks like it will rust.

Reply ButtonReply

Lexi

I have two boxes left in my annual and it keeps telling me I have no active subscription and I know several other people have this issue.
I’m not impressed, and kinda worried I’ve lost money…

Category 2: bamboozle 5 piece nesting bowls $65, MANNA hydration nautical cooler tote $65, ENCHANTE home oversized roundie towel $85. Category 3: Cosmedix Bakichiol complete serum $80, Cosmedix skin thirst hyaluronic acid cream $60

Julia

What does it mean “stripped-back compositions”? And how is that Claire’s-type bracelet worth $35?

Tessa Lock

The next spoiler is bamboo nesting bowls a very large round Turkish towel or a large blue and white stripe insulated bag
Spoiler 3 is a choice between a cosmetic serum or moisturizer
New name same type choices

Absolutely terrible.

Carrie

I agree. Like, awful.

Reply ButtonReply

Isa

Anyone else surprised category one only has two choices? Pretty slim pickings in my opinion.

This is the last box in my annual subscription and when it’s over I’m never looking back

Mine last was spring. So far, I think i made the right choice for me.
