Dia & Co is a monthly plus-size clothing subscription box that is personally curated for you by a Dia stylist. Upon enrolling with Dia & Co, I filled out an extensive survey asking me about my clothing size/weight/height, price range, and also my style likes, and dislikes. Every month my stylist selects five items that could be clothes or accessories to try out. If I like them, I have the option of buying them. There is a $20 per month service fee, but the fee can be applied to any purchases I opt to make. A 25% discount is applied if I chose to keep all five items too!

The items in my box are chosen personally for me dependent and reflective of my style and price preference, so the package you receive from Dia & Co may be entirely different than mine!

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our editorial guidelines to learn more about how we review boxes).

First Impressions

That Dia & Co envelope I look forward to seeing every month now comes as a sleeve.

Enclosed is an awesome message from my stylist this month, Micah! This month, I didn't select any items, so I am eager to see what was selected for me! Micah gives some really handy styling tips and even mentioned that they sent something to me from my wish list too!

This month's invoice doesn't show prices since my stylist selected each of the pieces. Normally, you would see not only the detailed list of the brand, name, color, size, but also the price of each item  selected along with the grand total after the styling fee and 25% off (if I opt to keep all five items) is applied.  The total would be $. After the $20 styling fee and 25% is applied my balance for the entire box would be $! The savings would be $ if I did decide to keep everything! That would be like getting  for free  -- that's pretty awesome!

Now for the fashions!

Stephanie Crew Neck Tie Dye Midi Dress in Black by Marc NY, Size 3x-- Listed Value $69, On Sale for $39

Okay, let me just say this is my official new favorite dress for summer. The material is light, stretchy, and so soft, making the dress incredibly easy and comfortable to wear. The length in it ensures if I am sitting on a cement step or in the grass that I am covered. No one is seeing my dupa or bits! If I were still working in an office-- I would be wearing this dress weekly. It would become a staple. I love that you can just toss this on and you look stylish with minimal effort. Normally, I am blase regarding tie dye items, but because this is black-- it works for me! This is a great dress to travel in whether you are driving or flying this summer. It is simply the best! I did very simple styling by pairing this with silver oversized hoops and my favorite summer platform sandals! Simply toss on a jean jacket if it gets chilly at night.

Peggy Faux Wrap Floral Print Blouse by Sugar Lips, Size 3x-- Listed Value $39

This top looks phenomenal on the model on the Dia & Co site, so I was really eager to see how it would look on me. On the model, the top is incredibly loose. On moi-- TIGHT, SO TIGHT. I honestly am amazed we were able to get semi decent pictures of myself in this blouse because I felt like I was going to bust all the seams out of this cutie. Ever see the movie, Tommy Boy? I was definitely afraid if I did some weird pose that the back seam would bust completely Tommy Callahan style! Aside from the fit not being it, this top is adorable! I love the classic floral print! I paired the top with skinny leg jeans, oversized silver hoop earrings, and my other Torrid summer shoes go to: these criss cross jelly shoes. This top would look fantastic paired with an a-line skirt or shorts as well if you are wanting to beat the summer heat but look gorgeous at the same time.

Avery Floral Top by MOLLY+ISADORA, Size 3x — Listed Value $45, On Sale for $35

Micah mentioned she included one of my wish list items-- and here it is! I selected it because I loved the retro floral print. The material is thin, but not too sheer and very breathable. The ruffle details add a romantic and cutesy touch to this top. It is certainly ideal to wear in warmer weather, especially in an office setting with a skirt and flats. I paired this blouse with my Holly Hocks Jewellery lime green retro flower earrings, jeans, and Torrid jellies for a cute, yet effortlessly put together ensemble. I think this would look fantastic styled with wide leg orange or lime green dress pants to add an even funkier, vintage-inspired spin!

Amelia Flutter Ruched Sweetheart Blouse by Socialite in Olive Green/Yellow, Size 2x— Listed Value $42

I can't recall if this was another wish list top or if Micah personally selected it for me, but either way-- I am loving it. The blue and orange yellow florals against the olive green are a great contrast. The incredibly stretchy and soft material makes this retro inspired print top oh so comfortable to wear. I almost wish this fabric was used for a dress. How adorable would it be as a maxi-dress with flutter sleeves? This is another top that could easily be worn to the office, a family gathering, or on a date. The color palette also can easily work for summer months as well as fall. I paired the top with jeans, my fave oversized silver hoops, and cognac open-toe platform sandals. In cooler months, this would look precious with a mustard color mini skirt, opaque tights, combat boots or oxfords, and a faux leather biker jacket or earth-toned cardigan.

Quinn Lace Hem Chemise by ICollection in Light Blue, Size 3x — Listed Value $54.50, On Sale for $38.15

My stylist also sent me this chemise. I am not sure how in the world this would be something I could get away with wearing in public as Micah suggested. My clubbing days are essentially non-existent and this chemise does a terrible job of covering my chest. How is this for someone that is a size 24? How? The straps are so thin and so low. I know chemises are lingerie, but this is ridiculous. I wish this piece came in a 4x, because the 3x is not doing its job. Nope! I had to wear a top underneath this for styling or else I would need to Photoshop some pictures of my face over my chest or blur everything out, yinz! Okay, gripes aside, let me say a few nice things about this chemise. The fabric is a beautiful shade of blue and the material is ultra soft and stretchy. That's about it, though. Even though I didn't feel comfortable or enjoy this piece, it isn't to say you will feel the same. That lace detail is adorable and this could potentially be great styled with knee high socks and platform Mary Janes for a very Clueless 90s-inspired ensemble. For my look I paired the chemise with a cropped white mock turtleneck, matching Mary Janes, and some precious Juno Birch earrings from Gloss & Shimmer!

Peaches Plus Size Puff Sleeve Crop Top by LuvMeMore, Size 2x — Listed Value $32

For some time, I had the tops and matching skirts from this brand in my bookmarked favorites on the Dia & Co site. They were just too cute!  I absolutely love the print, it reminds me of something from my childhood in the 80s/90s, but with a modern twist. I was glad to get this top till I saw that there was absolutely no way I was going to get this on my body. My body, like many, has changed a lot during the pandemic. I usually wear a 2x or 3x in tops these days, but the cut on this and the zero stretch--- NOPE! I didn't even attempt trying this on because it looked more like a 1x in the chest-- I probably would have been more of a 4x due to the cut and style for this piece. I avoid buying clothing items with limited stretch for this very reason: bodies change not just over months or years, but daily! I want something that can transition with me, so stretch fabric is a must! I feel as though it hugs the curves better, too. Though this piece was a big no for me, it doesn't mean it wouldn't look precious on someone else! Pair this with red capris and flats or with a yellow mini skirt and platform sandals for an excellent summer time ensemble!

Verdict

This month's Dia & Co had some great pieces from my new stylist, Micah J! Far and away, my favorite item Micah selected for me was the Marc NY! It has already become a summer staple for me to throw on, but look so effortlessly stylish! I also love the floral tops sent my way from MOLLY+ISADORA and the Socialite brands. Both have a great retro vibe and fit great! The rest of the items sent were less successful due to fit issues, but the styles of each were aces!

Regardless of the fit problems I had, I do enjoy having my stylist periodically take the wheel! I absolutely love collaborating, providing ample feedback, and allowing myself to be surprised by my stylist! I am very particular about fit, cuts, and styles of pieces, but it is nice to let go of that control and see what someone else might think suits me. Each month, I usually write up a quick paragraph along with sending links to my Pinterest and IG. The purpose of providing those links is to give my stylist an extra visual aid in how I look, my body shape, what style clothing I wear, and how I prefer the fit of said clothing. It also allows my stylist to have a window into the kind of lifestyle that I lead. Do I go out a lot? What kind of events do I attend? Do I work in an office environment? This will help your stylist determine whether you need more lounge wear pieces or more business casual pieces, for example. I also like to go through the Dia & Co site and create favorites folders to go back to when I pick out pieces each month. This directly tells my stylist what appeals to me on the site itself. I try to separate them even for the seasons or brands too.

Certainly, you can choose all five pieces for a styling box, but did you also know that Dia & Co offers styling services for activewear, intimate pieces, and now swimwear too? This is a great option with hot summer weather being here and now! You also can skip a styling box altogether and buy pieces directly from the site. All of these options allow you to get fashions directly delivered to the comfort of your home. No need for a trip to the mall or a camp out in the fitting rooms. With Covid cases on the rise again, it is nice to have such a convenience. Another thing I remind folks about is that you are able to accrue points from styling box and direct purchases that you can use towards purchasing additional items as well! I absolutely love Dia & Co and all the ways they allow you to use and enjoy their service. This month had some awesome pieces; are you as eager as I am to see what I get next month?

Love, love, love the tie dye dress on you and can see why it’s an instant favorite! I have a similar style dress from Junarose that I feel the same way about. Also love that yours has pockets and that they don’t appear to gap open!

That chemise can’t possibly be meant to wear in public. No, I think your stylist made a mistake and that was pulled from Dia’s lingerie collection (or she got into the “special” bag of gummie bears by mistake…)

Thank you, Maddie! I love Junarose pieces too! I have a few of them still form past reviews. The pockets are so rad and this dress actually comes in a few different colors. I was eyeballing the aqua/seafoam version too tbh. But this black one is just such a go to– so comfortable and easy to wear for sure!

Yeah, the chemise was a nice thought, but sadly didn’t work. The straps were so thin and the fit was snug though it feels like they meant it to be more loose? You win some, lose some!
