Monthly Jewelry Tree May 2018 Review

There are usually some coupons included in this sub, and here we have codes for Pet Treater and 13 Deals.

You'll see a branded card that explains their whole deal. If you love your jewelry, great! If not? Use the included gift bag to give away! It looks like they've changed the design this month.

Also new, on the back is a photo of the item in use with a short description. I wonder if we'll receive something like this for all future deliveries?

Crescent Moon Hair Clip

While I kind of like the design of this silver crescent moon with a "gemstone" dangling from it, I never wear clips in my hair because its just so thin and everything slides right out. I used quotation marks around the word gemstone because it's hard for me to tell if this is an actual stone or just a resin piece made to look like one. It is pretty cool with its crackly marble-like style though. I, unfortunately, will be passing this on to a friend who accessorizes their locks more.

And here is this month's bag for me to do so with. Cute pineapples!

Verdict: Monthly Jewelry Tree is hit or miss, as you'd probably assume. This month didn't work out even though I did like the item, it just wasn't something I could wear.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? This subscription is totally random so there is no guarantee what you will receive each month.

I did receive this, which is a personal bummer since I ordered one from Wish forever ago for a total of $2 including shipping, and it does NOT work with my thick hair. I really wish it would since I love the thought of using it…

It is awesome in my daughter’s hair-a bit boho! We got two subscriptions, the other had a necklace so were not the same.

…i like it, too–it’s just not a $5 barrette–and, i do get people don’t consider a hair clip to be “jewelry”…but, this is kinda like jewelry…a complete ornamentation, serving no practical purpose, just decorative

so, there…put your hair back and secure it with a trusty tie, then use this clip to “pretty it up”

…i got this hair clip, too…$5.50 seems pretty pricey for this, to me…

and, that coupon code did not work for me…i think including coupon codes in box values is really iffy–considering a lot of’em don’t work, out the gate…

Its so pretty but I think a lot of people aren’t going to be able to make it work. Too thick or too thin hair won’t hold it. That said it is really a cool piece. I would have rocked them as earrings.

That’s not exactly true. If you order multiple bags you very well might get the same thing in every bag. I have for the last three months.

The price is right on this one…..but Im going to hold off…for now 😉

I got the same thing as well. While cute, with thin hair and this heavy “gemstone,” it would just slide right out. Was a miss for me too 😔

The stone is called howlite. It’s often dyed blue to resemble turquoise.

Thanks, Mellie!

This was my first month and I was disappointed. I don’t consider a hair clip jewelry and the item feels too young for me. I’ll be passing it on to my 10 year old sister, though, and she’ll love it.
