Norlii is a bi-monthly home subscription box filled with Scandinavian home decor and accessories. With the clean lines of Nordic designs and the warmth of the Danish hygge (a word that basically means a quality of coziness that creates a feeling of contentment), it's all about bringing a modern but comfy bit of Scandinavia to your home. It is $99 for a one-time box, $74.90 per box for a bimonthly subscription, or $69.90 per box with an annual subscription (+ $12.90 shipping to the US and Canada).

First Impressions
With spring officially here, it's no surprise Norlii chose to focus the April box on "a love of nature," bringing it indoors with a focus on oak items plus paper napkins covered in delicate flowers. Arbor Day may not be celebrated in Scandinavia, but there's clearly a dedication to our sturdy oak trees coming through in this box!
What's Inside the Box
Like the February box, the April Norlii box was stocked with four different items. This time around, the items were all focused around bringing nature inside with warm oaken items and some florals.
Sagaform Hanna Oak Tray — Listed Price $69

Three of the four items in this month's box come from Sagaform, a home design company based in Sweden that focuses on sustainability in its products. The large oak tray was the star of the show this time around as the largest item in the box and the one designed to support all the the others!
About 14 inches by 11 inches, the tray has plenty of room for filling it with a full meal to take to mom for breakfast in bed this Mother's Day or just to carry your own lunch outside to enjoy a warm spring day. There are handles on each side to make this extra easy.
While I don't love that this tray is hand-wash only (I'm a live by my dishwasher, die by my dishwasher kind of girl), I loved the depth of the tray that prevents items from accidentally rolling or falling off while you're moving your meal from one room to another.
And at the risk of sounding like Goldilocks here, I admit the red oak is also exactly my style of wood — not too light but also not too dark! It's in keeping with that clean and minimalist feel that Scandinavian design is all about.
Sagaform Hanna Plate — Listed Value $12
Speaking of red oak, the second Sagaform item in this month's box is made of the same material, making this plate a perfect match for the tray for a cohesive look for your breakfast in bed delivery.
The plate is relatively small at about 5 inches by 7 1/2 inches, but it's plenty large enough for a sandwich or small salad — or the aforementioned morning meal. Again, this one's hand wash only, so be prepared to wipe it down after you've eaten!
Sagaform Oil and Vinegar Bottles — Listed Price $44

The oil and vinegar bottles included in this month's box are truly beautiful — delicate blown glass with round oak stoppers that add a bit of sophistication to their look. I have to admit that they're so pretty I almost don't want to put actual oil and vinegar in them and sully the look!
About 7.5 inches tall, the bottles are designed to hold about 10 fluid ounces of liquid — plenty for your own salad or to set out on the table for your entire family's dinner. The one thing I didn't like? When you remove the stopper to pour out your salad dressing, because it's round, it does roll. This isn't a problem if you've got a cloth tablecloth that tends to hold things in place, but it went sliding right across my wooden dining room table.
On a positive note, the glass bottles themselves are dishwasher-safe (score!), although you're going to want to wipe those stoppers down by hand.
Bloomingville Paige Paper Napkins — Listed Value $6.50
Made from recycled paper, this pack of paper napkins is simple and the print is absolutely beautiful. I'm not a fan of most florals, but it's simple and clean — again, right in line with that Scandinavian aesthetic! They're nice for a fancy occasion, but I do admit I'd never buy them myself as the price is too high for something that's headed straight for the compost pile (yes, you can compost paper napkins ... do you?).
Was This Box Worth It?
Typically Norlii includes a guide to all the products in the box, including the retail value, which makes it easier to add up your savings. This time around they didn't include the retail values in the box, so I had to do some digging. A Norlii subscription is $74.90 with $12.95 shipping to the US, and according to my math this box was valued at around $131.50 (not including shipping from the various stores).
The tray and the bottles are the real stars of the show here, and alone they're valued at $113, still pushing you into "great value" land.
