First Impressions

Each month, Nourish Beauty Box usually arrives in a box with an info card that has a quick overview of the box on one side and more detailed information about the products included on the other.

The first thing I noticed was that the branded cardboard box is back! Last month’s lack of a box must have been a one-off. I can’t wait to dive in and see what this month’s curation holds.

Now, on to the items!

NOURISH NATURALS Cocoa Glaze Lip Stain in Trance, 4 ml - Retail Value $16

Nourish Naturals’ lip products have been a main staple of this subscription for as long as I can remember, and I’ve always been a fan. This Cocoa Glaze Lip Stain, in particular, is great; it provides the hydration of a lip mask while leaving behind a long-staying hint of color. The shade ‘Trance’ has a light rose tone to it, and it’s very close to my natural lip color, which is a plus for me. I love how it adds a shine to my lips when doing an everyday makeup look. The hydrating formula is lovely, due to the inclusion of cocoa and shea butters and Vitamin E. I enjoy the doe foot applicator, which allows for precise application. Oh, and the scent… Yum! The delectable scent gives me orange creamsicle vibes, and I’m loving it. When I first apply this to my lips, it’s fast absorbing and leaves behind a protective plant-based wax layer without any sticky feeling.

SERAPHINE BOTANICALS Yuzu and Snow Snow Mushroom Highlighting Cream, 15 ml - Retail Value $24

Highlighter is one of my favorite ways to accent any makeup look, so I was thrilled to see this Yuzu and Snow Snow Mushroom Highlighting Cream from Seraphine Botanicals. I like the neutral look of the pinkish peach shade, and I appreciate how well it works for various skin tones. The shimmer is lovely, giving off a pearlized glow. When I first applied this to the high points of my cheeks, I immediately noticed how nicely the formula stayed put. I have slightly oily skin, so when it comes to certain creams, they have the potential to slide right off my face. But with this oil-free formula, I haven’t experienced that issue. I also appreciate that it doesn’t dry down uncomfortably due to the formula’s inclusion of hyaluronic acid and yuzu and pear extracts. A little product goes a long way, and it’s creamy and smooth to the touch.

PEONY COSMETICS Cult Lashes, 8 ml - Retail Value $23

Mascara has always been a staple for me, so I’ll always need more in my makeup stash. Peony Cosmetics has become one of my go-to brands lately, and this Cult Lashes mascara does not disappoint. The formula is a true black, which I very much appreciate. I also really enjoy the sleek packaging. When I first applied this to my lashes, the product did an excellent job of evenly coating each lash, creating a volumizing look. You can easily build up the intensity, and it goes on smoothly without any clumps or smudging. With the inclusion of argan oil, this mascara conditions, thickens, and strengthens my lashes while giving a boosted effect that I really love.

ROSAFA SKINCARE Timeless Reset Rich Radiance Face Cream, 50 ml - Retail Value $86

First off, the packaging of this Timeless Reset Rich Radiance Face Cream from Rosafa Skincare is truly stunning. I love it when brands take their packaging into consideration. While I usually prefer gel moisturizers, since this is a water-based cream, it’s a bit more lightweight than expected. It’s so refreshing to my skin, and with a formula that’s packed with date fruit extract for anti-aging and Vitamin C for a collagen boost, this cream is surprisingly working for me. I apply this product as the last step to my skincare routine, and it absorbs well without causing irritation or clogging any pores. I’m always looking for something that can help minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and I think this moisturizer could be a great option. Only time will tell.

Verdict

This was a solid month for Nourish Beauty Box! The highlight for me was the Rosafa Skincare face cream. I love how smooth and refreshing the product feels on my skin, and it’s meant to fight anti-aging, which I appreciate. Seraphine Botanicals’ cream highlighter was a surprise for me. Since the formula is oil-free, it does a much better job of staying on my face as opposed to some other cream blushes, which tend to slide right off. The lip stain from Nourish Naturals is always a welcome inclusion. I love how nicely it blends with my natural lip color, giving a bit of shine and hydrating my lips at the same time. Lastly, Peony Cosmetics’ mascara… I love the true black shade, and I appreciate the argan oil formula, which helps to condition, thicken, and strengthen my lashes while also giving them a voluminous look. Overall, I thought this was a great box. The products, although a bit more makeup heavy than I normally prefer, offer up a nice variety, and the value is definitely there.
